So we had the opportunity to go to a protest that was being held near the capital building to voice opinions regarding the stimulus and recent economical changes. There were about a thousand people at this protest. It was put together by Glenn Beck, there were protests held in every state nationwide. The were called the "Tea Party" protests! It was really a lot of fun! We all made signs and stood out in the FREEZING snow ( it was coming down really hard by the end) and we had a blast. It was great to hear all the speakers and learn more about what's going on in our nation. Matt's twin brother Mike is majoring in political science and has some great opinions on politics. He was asked to give quick speech about how he feels about it all and he definately did the best! Everyone was on their feet, screaming and cheering when he was done. We were so proud of him! Here is a clip on his speech!
