We had our white coat ceremony on Thursday. It was a very tasteful ceremony that took place in the Yale Medical School's Historic Library. When I came to interview for the program, I was totally enchanted by the "Harry Potter"-style library; it is now one of my study rooms, and it feels nostalgic that we received our white coats there.
We came forward and a second-year student (our "big sib" before we came to New Haven) helped us don the white coat, after which we pinned them with a Yale School of Medicine crest. The picture shows me and Jeff Gagnon, my "big brother."
It is exciting that this means we get to start venturing onto the wards and seeing patients soon! It was great to have Emily there!
It is kind of fun that these events always end with "wine and cheese," a finger food collection that fortunately also includes chocolate-covered strawberries and sprite!

Do they say, "From the hallowed halls of Yale Library....?" You look so handsome, Geoff. Emily, you're just about "done", er, started (on the next season of your lives).
