Kevin's Graduation

Excuse the order of pictures in my post. Blame it on me just having a baby or my lack of blogging skills but I realize they are very random. As a side note: There are 6 pregnant ladies in that pic, that's more than 50%. Also the 2nd girl from right to left on the top row (blue shirt, long blonde hair)delivered her baby boy the same day as Charlotte. Cool huh.
Yes I know my face is a little swollen :) but I was due in less than 2 weeks.
We were lucky enough to have Phil, Kevin's Dad, come out to watch him graduate medical school. It was so great to see him and share this special event with him. Thanks Phil! We know that many of our other family would have been there had they could and felt your support through phone calls and emails throughout the weekend. We love you and thanks for the encouragement.

Me being so close to delivery and all we decided to take off for the 10 hour drive a day early and stay near Chicago, which is only 4.5 hours away in a hotel to break up the trip. And what better food to eat in Chicago than pizza right! We scored at this place called the Chicago Dough Company during a buffet so we got to try tons of different types of Chicago style pizza, wings, salad, breadsticks, and dessert pizzas. Wow could a pregnant girl ask for anything more? (The answer is no, Kevin had to wheelbarrow me out of the place.) Thomas' highlight was swimming. We swam as often and long as we could on the way there (Kirksville, MO) and on the way back home. He loved it and took to the water like a fish as they say.

Dr. Welker with his hot, although swollen wife, Thomas and (not seen here) Charlotte
The first and last picture is a group of some of the friends that we made along the way. What an adventure. I can say were almost halfway there but I am so proud of Kevin and what he has accomplished.

It was so fun to see all those graduation pictures. What an accomplishment for Kevin and of course you for supporting it all. You are one cute pregnant girl! I can't wait to see the Charlotte posts. I hope you are doing good as a mamma of two! Love ya!
