Christmas In Kirksville

It was the first Christmas for both Thomas and Audrey and it was a blast. We made cookies, peppermint bark, oreo truffles, pumpkin pie, candy oh and some real food. All together we probably gained about 20 lbs due to the abundance of great food. We were very busy between the two little ones and since they had exactly opposite nap and eating schedules we didn't leave the house all that much. Which is probably a good thing, the temperature was crazy cold hovering around 0 degrees alot of the time. We attempted to go sledding but some of us only made it about 10 feet before we retreated back to the car with the little eskimo babies. So we took turns running as fast as we could to the top of the hill to go down a few times. There were a couple mean games of raquetball between the 4 adults (sorry Thomas maybe next year). We watched tons of Christmas movie classics. It is so fun to have hot chocolate after being out in the cold snow and we shared it with some neighbors and friends. I was introduced to, and completed, a new time soaking activity-Sudoku. On Christmas Eve we ate an awesome spread untill we were all full to the brim and then sang Christmas Carols while the kids danced around. Then that night Santa found our house, I don't know how he got in because we have no chimney, and we woke up to lots of fun toys for all ages. Thanks everyone for your thoughtful gifts. We hope everyone had a great Christmas. Ours was perfect, it's going to be hard to have Em and Geoff leave.

I'm so glad you've had such a great Christmas together. Thomas and Audrey won't remember this loving-time, but you will. Good for you all for sacrificing to make it happen. We love you. Mom and Dad
