We are on a roll - two posts in less then a month - we are blowing everyone away but Kristine & Kevin - Yea!!! :-)
Kristine your comment in our last post about boys and them being stubborn was a little uncalled for. Porter and I didn't really appreciate it. :-) Great pictures and comments. Keep them coming.
We had a few fun things happen this past week or so that we wanted to pass along. First, we had a great night at Grandma and Grandpa J's last Sunday. Mom was in her usual Grandma form - entertaining the kids and making sure everyone had what they needed.
This was actually taken a few days before Alexa's surgery a couple of weeks ago by our neighbor but we just got the picture this week. We liked it so much we wanted to pass it along. It was fun to get her up on the horse and to see the big smile on her face as she took a few rounds in the backyard. It is great having Alexa at our house.
There is a cotton field at the end of our street. Yesterday afternoon Annie and I took a ride on the horses down that way. They picked the cotton a couple of weeks ago and they are part way through with mowing the stocks. The weather was just right - no wind and warm but not unpleasant. We rode for 45 minutes or an hour. It was so peaceful and fun. Annie and I just talked about this and that. It was a REALLY enjoyable experience. When we got back we hosed the horses down a little and let them graze before we took them back to their corral.
The chicks are doing great, with growing and everything. The neighbor kids sure love 'em. They can be a little stinkers if you are trying to catch them, but there fun. We got them 3 weeks ago, on Porters b-day. Its going to be like 6 monthes till they will be able to lay eggs. We let them out every once in a while, at least for a couple of minutes. Reese sure enjoys sitting under the upright wooden flower bed where the chicks are and watch them. It is so funny just watching her trying to touch a chick! They are a really fun animal to have!! (This paragraph was by me, Mayley)
We love you all and hope each of you are doing well. Talk to you soon.

Oh, Matt you claim the rights of blowing everyone out of the water but Kev and I. That is a correct statement on one account, it would be hard to keep up with us but I have noticed that Mayley is the one doing all the writing. So Mayley I thank you for your efforts in showing us these absolutely awesome pics. Thomas just can't get enough of the animals and his cousins and grandma. Keep em' coming. JK on the snide comment Matt. Love you guys. And yes that is an awesome captured moment with Alexa.
makes me think of days gone by. Your are becoming quite the country family. Come redo my yard so it looks as good as yours.
I must admit I am jealous of those horses, chicks, and that big back yard! How fun! Makes me a little homesick! Glad you guys are all doing good!
