Feeling Fallish

Our good weather days are numbered before we wage war with frostbite using bullets of LAYERS of jackets and Hot Cocoa. So we took advantage and headed out to an Apple orchard where they had toys, pumpkins to pick, animals to pet, apple cider to try, hay rides and a corn maze. In the barn you could watch them pouring apples onto the conveyor belt to be pressed for juice and it smelled heavenly not to mention the taste. You could tell it was fresh. The sky today is beautiful and add in the fall colors on the trees. Today is picture perfect.
T-man was not too interested in the pumpkins due to the fact that there were tractors around.

Wimp alert! ok so from here on out the ground here is just going to be wet and muddy and I realize that. I dressed T-man in clothes that could get dirty and grimy but I wasn't wanting to have to trudge through knee deep mud holes to get back to our car if the tractor and trailer got stuck. I was seriously nervous that we were going to slide off into a muddy wasteland but I guess I have forgotten the power of a John Deere! The tractor had no problem at all, the mud just made our ride a little more interesting. *Sidenote-I remember going to school in Duncan for a short while during the building of our Thatcher house and Grandpa Lunt coming to the rescue of a full sized school bus being stuck on the side of the road in the mud. Yeah for tractors.

This was a pumpkin launcher! They put little pumpkins in there and you had to try to hit their targets. I nailed the drink one so we got a free apple cider.

That sounds awesome! What a great way to get into fall. And fresh apple juice is my favorite kind of juice.
