Operation Bottle-Feed

About a month ago, we needed Audrey to start taking a bottle because I started back at work once a week. What I didn't know is that if you don't teach a baby to take a bottle within the first three weeks (as well as breastfeeding) they can be very resistant to the bottle when it is introduced. Our little Audrey was indeed resistant and we failed a couple times. I would even leave the house to see if it would help so Geoff could try feeding her. I came back to a screaming baby. But we knew she had to learn or we'd never even be able to go on a date alone again. So one weekend we declared operation bottle-feed and it was d-day. It was awful. She pulled out all her heart-wrenching cries, whimpers, etc. Mom was reduced to tears several times and dad had to help hold everything together. But as you can see from the pictures, she eventually took it from mom and then from dad. Geoff has to hold her facing forward as shown for her to take it. As soon as she was successfully taking her bottle, we put her in her Cougar outfit and declared her a champ. Nowadays, there is no trouble at all with bottlefeeding. Way to go Audrey!

In this last picture Audrey seems to be thinking, "Their 'victory' was just a teaser." I'm still the cutest boss!

I love the outfit. Way to be strong. Their tears can reduce even the strongest to break.
