Four

A dragon, breathing fire.  One thing that has changed as Audrey has gotten older is she now remembers choices for much longer periods of time.  We talked about her cake several  times over the course of a few weeks before her birthday, and this year, it was always the same answer.  She helped in the creation. 

Audrey was lucky to have many of her cousins and her great-Aunt Ethelyn here for her birthday party.  It was a warm, fun time at the beautiful park near our house.  Audrey loves the big coloring pages and markers Elli and Brinlyn gave her.  Thanks!  She has also been reading the sight word books that Grandma J. gave her almost every day!

At Four:  Pink is her favorite color.  The fairy wings she received for her birthday have added new life to an already well-loved dress-ups collection, making dancing and picnicing more enchanting.  She loves vanilla ice cream cones, all fruits (especially blueberries and strawberries), and still cucumbers.  Favorite games include:  MONSTER!!!!, hide and seek, shark, simon-says, and mommy-daddy games (board-games).   

She loves playing with others. And just finished her first year of preschool, a co-op with these four wonderful kids and their moms.  Playing doctor was definately their favorite free-time game.  She still usually says "No" when I ask if she wants to read books, but we read anyway and pretty soon she is begging for more.  She is learning to recognize some words and understand a little about what reading is all about.  She has a very keen memory, especially when treats are involved.  Hah, hah.  She counts to 20 easily, but always skips 15.  :)  She counts to 100 if helped.  She gets a kick out of anything scary or unusual...hence the fire-breathing dragon, I guess.  She is a careful, sweet, wonderful little girl and we are so glad she's ours.
