So, the other day I'm trying to get Audrey ready to go to storytime at the library and I say, "Let's put on your shoes". I picked up her white sandals and motioned for her to come close so we could don them and be on our merry way. Well, she wouldn't have it. Before I knew it, she was headed to her closet, pulled out these high-heel black suede shoes (worn at my cousin's wedding). She was very much excited to put them on, so I acquiesed as it is the first time she's had an opinion about what she is going to wear. She pranced around the apartment and I laughed at how funny she looked. She wore them until we pulled into the parking lot at the library. At that point, my pride overtook her pleasure. But by then, it was perfectly okay because the library was before us and therefore the shoes forgotten. :) And this, at almost 15 months old!
